Just a quick - amazingly - piece of news!!! Liv finally got a kidney!
She is currently undergoing the operation as I write this, its all still so unreal and out of the blue we both still can’t wrap our heads around this right now We got the call Friday night that a kidney was found, in Oslo, Norway- no less, and we had to get to the hospital Saturday morning, but it wouldn’t be until this morning Liv would be operated on because of all the tissue tests and whatnot they needed to complete before they could start! So we didn’t want to celebrate premature Liv also just completed another staphylococcus infection Wednesday and got on the kidney waiting list!!! So many infections after and mishaps its been one bloody ride to finally get here She is one brave little girl!
Will update again once the operation is over and we know how everything is… for now, we are here for the next 4 weeks, but we cannot wait for her to get her strength back and that all important chance to fully develop!
